Papercut Letter of Your Choice Giveaway!!!

Hi everyone, especially if you've come via Facebook.

As promised, in celebration of reaching over 2000 'Likes', I'm running a papercut giveaway - and this time it's an original, not a print!  Woohoo!

All you have to do is comment either here on this blog post or comment on the FB post with your name and which letter you'd like me to papercut for you if you win.  You can also say why you want that particular letter, or who it's for etc.  Let's make it more interesting!

The winner's name will be randomly drawn on March 31st and you will receive your papercut by end of April at the latest.

The papercut letter will be cut in black and will be approximately 15 cm tall.  My letters are all individually drawn by hand and then cut by hand - so no two are the same.  I usually sell these for around £150-£175 each.

So, please spread the word and good luck!

Suzy x

  2. I've just found your work from a post a friend shared on FB - I love the initials, just beautiful! My name is Keleigh Coldron - but I'm a bit tricky in choosing the letter should I be lucky enough to win. My baby is due 6th April and - depending on if it's a boy or a girl - I'd like either an F or a B. Hope this doesn't disqualify me! :)

  3. I've been following you on facebook for ages and ages - I just love your beautiful delicate cuts, your talent amazes me. My name is Laura Sherry. If I won I would like an S. My family is so important to me and
they have been there for me through some very difficult times recently so I think it would be very fitting. Good luck everyone! :) x

  5. Hi Suzy

Your papercuts are just amazing, I'm in awe!

My name's Anna, and if I won I would very selfishly choose to keep it all for myself - I don't think I could bear to give it away! I think I would choose the letter 'X', because it's a shape of strength but the contrast with your delicate papercut shapes would be beautiful!

    Fingers crossed!

  6. Hello Suzy
Your papercuts are inspirational - the perfect blend between delicacy and strength. I love the contrast in all your work and the originality.
I've had a go myself and it's so difficult to create the kind of fragile, fine work you make.
I'm in awe of your designs and would love to win an H. My name is Helene but throughout school and work all my closest friends have called me just 'H'
Good luck to everyone who enters.
Ps. I found you on facebook :-) Happy Saturday. x

Good luck to everyone. I'm keeping fingers, toes and everything else crossed until the end of March!

  19. Now I know I'm coming to see you about a papercutting next week, but there is no way that I'm going to turn down the opportunity to have another of your beautiful artworks on my wall! I think I'd have to go for a C - it's the first letter of our surname, it would be a bit egotistical to have an E up on the wall!!
Can't wait to visit you on Monday, Emma xx

  27. Hi Suzy,

What an amazingly generous give away! Every time I see your beautiful creations I marvel at how long they must take you and how, one small slip or loss of concentration, and it's back to square one.

So I'm very impressed that you're giving one of your creations away!

If I was lucky enough to be picked out of the hat, I'd ask for you to cut the letter 'F' because my first child, Florence Mai is only 5 weeks old and I'd love her to have something so beautiful and made especially for her.

  32. Hi Suzy - I found you through Alice Darkling's FB share and am completely in awe of the artwork you're producing! Just... WOW! I'd love an 'S' - as an author, I spend a lot of time sitting at my computer creating stories. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that looking at something as beautiful and intricate as this would bring pleasure and inspiration to anyone! Sue

  34. Crickey! What's lovely, generous giveaway! Just so admire your lovely creativeness. I was wondering what letter I would have and went through a whole process.... S for me? Too selfish. A for my daughter but then would my son feel left out. D for my husband but would he 'get' it? He thinks I'm a mad badger anyway! So then I decided it would have to be a happy family V for our surname - two birds, one stone! 'twas ever thus! Sue xxxxx

  35. I found you by searching for the origin of a beautiful papercut photo I pinned on Pinterest. I am so glad to have found your blog! What a wonderful surprise to find a giveaway: I would love an "A" for my sewing studio. Thank you! Addie

  36. Wow. These are just stunning. It's so hard to choose. I'd sort of like to choose an 'H' for myself but that seems selfish... So a little less selfish (just), I think I'd choose a 'T' for my new surname when I get married next year. It can be a wedding present to ourselves and symbolise our new family and life together (*vom*) :D xx

Helloooo there clever papercutty lady. Hope you're enjoying a chocolate filled Easter! I adore your delicate paper cutting and really admire the skill that goes into each piece you work on. If (in my wildest dreams!) I happened to win this giveaway, I would choose the letter I for my most lovely 11 year old daughter Izzi. Mainly because I loves her so, but also to show her how proud I am of her love of piano. She has recently passed her Grade 2 with a distinction and is about to take up Jazz piano too. I'm proud coz I have never once had to ask her to practice, she plays all the time simply for the love and joy of it! Proud Mamma here! Anyway enough waffle from me, have a lovely day and thanks for organising such a fab giveaway!

He has been in kennells for the last few months after his elderly owner died. He was really skinny and in bad condition, but since coming to live with us a month ago he is doing so much better and I'd love to have something like this be to remember him by. Thanks x
