I've spent about 3.5 hours finishing off this piece this morning. Feeling absolutely worn out now! I always forget to time myself, and people always ask me, but I reckon (including the drawing stage) this whole piece took around 15 hours. Bit crazy. Anyway, hope you like it.

Flower Owl
So after much thinking and sketchbook doodling, I decided that my next papercut will be another owl. I know I've done an owl before (see my Twitter button on the right of this page) but this one's a little different - and also quite a bit larger than my first one. This means I can get in a lot more detail - which as you all know, is definitely right up my street. For some reason I always have huge doubts during the drawing stage. With this one, it was the flowery pattern in the owl feathers that I wasn't sure about. However, I didn't change it and once I started cutting it, I reckoned it looked as I hoped it would and I'm glad I didn't change it. Here's the first few work-in-progress pics.

Hillside Village
I've got an exhibition coming up in Rickmansworth in July and August and this piece will be in it. I started it back in February which might be why it has a wintry feel to it.

Wedding Papercut
I'm flying to California tomorrow for my cousin Meg's wedding in San Jose. She and her fiancee are cat people so I've made this papercut for them as a wedding present. Hope it's not too girly for them both to enjoy! I've also included my work-in-progress pics too.
